Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla.
  5. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in diced apples.
  7. Turn dough onto floured surface and shape into a circle about 1-inch thick.
