- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Combine figs, sugar, and water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and cook for 30-40 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in lemon juice and vanilla extract if using.
- Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to jars.

- For a smoother texture, blend the jam before cooling.
