Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a bowl. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water.
  6. Use a fork to poke holes all over the cake. Pour gelatin mixture evenly over the cake.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  8. Top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries before serving.
