Delicious cookies inspired by the flavors of brown sugar pop tarts. Soft, chewy, and packed with sweet brown sugar goodness.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze, then drizzle over cookies.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough.
