- 1 whole turkey (5–6 kg)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Rub the turkey with butter, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon, onion, and garlic.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
- Roast for 3-4 hours, basting occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Check turkey temperature with a meat thermometer.
- Adjust cooking time based on turkey size.
- Cover with foil if the skin browns too quickly.
