  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in orzo, chicken broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10 minutes or until orzo is tender.
  6. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
