Ingredients

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1/2 cup melted butter, onion, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine crushed cornflakes and 2 tablespoons melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle the cornflake mixture evenly over the potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
