- 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a pan, cook the pork belly until crispy. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic, cabbage, and carrots for 2 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Mix in the crispy pork belly and remove from heat.
- Place a spoonful of the filling onto a spring roll wrapper.
- Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly. Seal with beaten egg.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the spring rolls until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Keep spring roll wrappers covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying.
- Use a thermometer to maintain oil at 350°F for even frying.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
