A simple and flavorful slow-cooked chuck steak recipe that delivers tender, juicy results every time.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs chuck steak
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chuck steak on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Place the browned steak in the crockpot.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic on top.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme. Pour over the steak.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred or slice the steak and serve with the cooking juices.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add carrots or potatoes during the last 2 hours of cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
