Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half the potato slices in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle with half the salt, pepper, nutmeg, minced garlic, and cheeses.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and seasonings.
  6. Pour heavy cream evenly over the potatoes.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
