Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add egg yolk and mix until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Combine berries, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  7. Spread berry mixture over chilled crust.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes until crust is golden.
  9. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use chilled butter for flaky crust.
  • Fresh berries work best.
