Description

Ingredients

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 100g unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix flour, chilled butter, and powdered sugar until crumbly.
  3. Add egg yolk and knead into a dough. Press into a tart tin and chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Blind bake the crust for 15 minutes. Remove weights and bake for 5 more minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate and butter with heavy cream over low heat. Remove from heat.
  6. Whisk eggs with sugar, then mix into chocolate mixture.
  7. Pour filling into crust and bake for 20 minutes until set.
  8. Cool completely before serving.
