A simple and delicious chicken pasta crockpot recipe perfect for family dinners. This dish combines tender chicken, pasta, and a rich sauce for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken
  • 1 lb pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chicken at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add diced onion, minced garlic, marinara sauce, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  4. Shred the chicken with two forks.
  5. Add uncooked pasta and stir to combine.
  6. Cover and cook on high for another 20-30 minutes until pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

  • You can use frozen chicken, but add 1 hour to cooking time.
