- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken
- 1 lb pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Place chicken at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, marinara sauce, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Add uncooked pasta and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on high for another 20-30 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen chicken, but add 1 hour to cooking time.
- For a creamier version, stir in 1/2 cup heavy cream before serving.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
