- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup water or beef broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour in the water or beef broth and stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

- For a spicier chili, add a diced jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
