Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1/4 cup fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla until a dough forms.
- Press 2/3 of the dough into the pan for the base.
- Spread strawberry jam evenly over the dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool, then top with fresh berries and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter for easier mixing.
- Let the bars cool completely before slicing.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
