Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Brown chicken in the same skillet for 3 minutes per side.
- Pour beef broth into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer chicken and onions to a baking dish.
- Top with shredded Gruyère cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

- Use a sharp knife for thinly slicing onions.
