Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge filling
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add cold water and mix until dough forms.
  5. Roll out dough and cut into rectangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of chocolate fudge filling on half the rectangles.
  7. Cover with another dough rectangle and seal edges with a fork.
  8. Brush tops with egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze and drizzle over cooled tarts.
