Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Heat oil in a pan to 350°F.
- Fry donuts for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze. Add food coloring if desired.
- Dip donuts in glaze and add sprinkles.
- Let glaze set before serving.
Notes
- Use a thermometer to check oil temperature.
- Let dough rest for 10 minutes before rolling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
