Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut chilled butter into small pieces and blend into flour mixture until crumbly.
- Add cold water gradually until dough forms.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Cut heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place half the hearts on a baking sheet.
- Add 1 tsp jam to the center of each heart.
- Cover with remaining hearts, pressing edges to seal.
- Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if too sticky.
