Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut chilled butter into small pieces and blend into flour mixture until crumbly.
  4. Add cold water gradually until dough forms.
  5. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.
  6. Cut heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Place half the hearts on a baking sheet.
  8. Add 1 tsp jam to the center of each heart.
  9. Cover with remaining hearts, pressing edges to seal.
  10. Brush tops with egg wash.
  11. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
  12. Cool before serving.
