Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the batter, mixing well after each addition.
- Add pink food coloring until desired shade is reached.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely, then frost with vanilla frosting.
- Use fondant to create Hello Kitty’s face, bow, and whiskers.
- Decorate with additional fondant hearts for a Valentine’s touch.

- Let the cake cool completely before decorating to prevent melting frosting.
- Use gel food coloring for a vibrant pink color.
