Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread (12 inches)
  • 1/2 lb sliced salami
  • 1/2 lb sliced ham
  • 1/2 lb sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced banana peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread lengthwise and hollow out some of the soft interior.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the dressing on both sides of the bread.
  4. Layer salami, ham, and provolone cheese on the bottom half.
  5. Top with shredded lettuce, red onion, banana peppers, and black olives.
  6. Close the sandwich and press gently.
  7. Cut into portions and serve.
