Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
- Rub both sides with olive oil.
- Season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat.
- Sear the steak for 2 minutes per side.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
- Letting the steak rest ensures juiciness.
- For a thicker steak, increase oven time slightly.
