- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- Combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 25 minutes, stirring often.
- Mix in vanilla, cinnamon, and beaten egg.
- Cook for 5 more minutes until thickened.
- Stir in raisins if using.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.

- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
