- 4 large croissants, cut into chunks
- 1 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a bowl, whisk milk, eggs, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Add croissant chunks to the baking dish.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissants.
- Let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old croissants for better texture.
- Adjust sugar based on orange sweetness.
- Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar.
