- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
- Roll dough into balls, then coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place dough balls on a baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Dough can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
- For crispier cookies, bake 1-2 minutes longer.
