A romantic sushi dinner for Valentine’s Day
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 sheets nori
- 1/2 lb fresh salmon
- 1/2 lb fresh tuna
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber
- Wasabi and pickled ginger for serving
Instructions
- Cook sushi rice according to package instructions
- Mix rice vinegar, sugar and salt in small bowl
- Fold vinegar mixture into warm rice
- Slice fish and vegetables into thin strips
- Place nori sheet on bamboo mat
- Spread rice evenly over nori
- Add fish and vegetables
- Roll tightly using bamboo mat
- Slice roll into pieces
- Serve with wasabi and ginger

- Use freshest possible fish
- Keep hands wet when handling rice
