Description
A tender slow cooker brisket with rich balsamic onion gravy.
Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the brisket on both sides.
- Place onions and garlic in the slow cooker.
- Add the seared brisket on top.
- Mix beef broth, balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the brisket.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove brisket and slice.
- Blend the onion gravy until smooth.
- Serve brisket with gravy.
Notes
- Trim excess fat from brisket before cooking.
- Use a sharp knife for slicing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
