- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 green bell pepper, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: pickles, cheese, lettuce
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toast the buns lightly if desired.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the buns and add toppings.
Notes
- Use leaner beef if you prefer less grease.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- The mixture can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
