Delicious, chewy peanut butter cookie bars perfect for Valentine’s Day. They are easy to make and packed with rich peanut butter flavor.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup heart-shaped sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the peanut butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with heart-shaped sprinkles if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a thicker bar, use a smaller baking pan.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Substitute chocolate chips with white chocolate or peanut butter chips if preferred.
