  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 nori sheets
  • 1/2 lb fresh salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb fresh tuna, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 small cucumber, julienned
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp pickled ginger
  • 2 tbsp wasabi paste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Cook the rice with water in a rice cooker or pot following package instructions.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Mix into cooked rice and let cool.
  4. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin layer of rice, leaving a 1-inch border.
  5. Arrange salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese in the center.
  6. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat. Wet the edge to seal.
  7. Slice into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
