- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 nori sheets
- 1/2 lb fresh salmon, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb fresh tuna, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 small cucumber, julienned
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp pickled ginger
- 2 tbsp wasabi paste
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice with water in a rice cooker or pot following package instructions.
- In a small saucepan, heat rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Mix into cooked rice and let cool.
- Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin layer of rice, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Arrange salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese in the center.
- Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat. Wet the edge to seal.
- Slice into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
