Description

Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 500 g sauerkraut, drained
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. While the potatoes cook, fry the bacon in a pan until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the onion until translucent.
  4. Add the sauerkraut to the pan with the onions and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Drain the potatoes and mash them with milk and butter.
  6. Mix the sauerkraut and onions into the mashed potatoes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, topped with the crispy bacon.
