Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 avocados, diced
- 1/2 cup tomatillos, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, minced
- 1/2 small red onion, diced
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Instructions
- Marinate the steak with olive oil, garlic, lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill the steak over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes per side.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Mix diced avocados, tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeño, red onion, and lime juice to make the salsa.
- Serve sliced carne asada with avocado salsa verde on top.
