- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (350g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter for best results.
- Do not overbake—cookies will firm up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
