A light and fragrant cake combining lavender and lemon flavors topped with rich white chocolate frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For frosting: 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- Mix flour, lavender, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Combine milk, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla in another bowl.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and wet mixture to butter mixture.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool cake completely before frosting.
- For frosting, melt white chocolate and mix with cream and powdered sugar.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
Notes
- Use culinary-grade lavender.
- Chill frosting for 10 minutes before spreading for better consistency.
- Store cake in the refrigerator.
